TAKUYA JIMBO
Born in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
After graduating from high school in Japan, studied film and video production techniques in California, USA.
Upon returning to Japan, gained experience as a cameraman and camera assistant in film production at Tokyo Film School.
In 2014, moved to London, UK, and participated in the shooting of TV commercials and corporate promotional videos at a London production company.
While supporting on commercial production sets, also worked as a videographer, handling the shooting of documentaries, TV programs, and web programs.
From 2018, after becoming an independent videographer, took on the shooting of numerous documentaries and web content across Europe.
In TV programs, worked on NHK’s travel shows, and for TV Tokyo, shot programs such as “Gaia no Yoake,” “WBS,” and “Future Century Zipangu.”
As a cameraman for TV Tokyo’s London bureau, primarily covered economic and political news in European countries, including filming reports on the refugee crisis and the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on surrounding countries. Visited over 30 countries for filming.
In addition, has worked as a cameraman for special news reports and information programs.
Since the end of 2022, returned to the birthplace in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and continues to work in filming and video productions.
